DJ Erick was born in Kenya. Music was his passion from a young age and it still is. He enjoyed a happy childhood, surrounded by loving family. In his small village near the great Lake Victoria, he listened to the radio; the only medium available in the countryside at that time. That is how he became fascinated by African music. In The Netherlands, DJ Erick started to play music at private parties. Later on, he was asked to entertain at some clubs in Utrecht. With ten years of DJ-experience, he collected a huge collection of African music. DJ Erick’s personal choice is soukous, the most popular music in Kenya. But he has the ability to see what the audience and occasion is asking for. His main goal is to give people a good feeling, a special night, a good time... That is why he is up to date: knowing what is going on in the African urban music scene with so many sorts of vibrating music... D.J.
